The Psychedelic Ensemble crept up on us at Progulator with The Dream of the Magic Jongleur, scooped up a Proggie nomination, and recently followed up with his strongest album yet, The Tale of the Golden King. One thing lead to another of course, and in the end we were very pleased to have had the opportunity to recently interview TPE regarding his latest work.

Interview Mini-series with The Psychedelic Ensemble

And thus Progulator.com announces a mini-series of interviews with The Psychedelic Ensemble. In reality it’s one interview loaded with lots of goodies about TPE’s new record, his work with special guests on the album, and even his work with young people and the future of art music. However, because of the scope of the interview, we’ve decided to run it as a three part series over the course of two weeks, starting off with the heart of it all: the music. In this first edition you’ll hear TPE talk about progressive rock dramas and his use of the orchestra. He even gives us an analysis of the record’s finale! You’ll find the interview in the Youtube video below.
